Track Me
Real-time tracking system for high quality augmented reality effects in TV productions.
TrackMe is an image-based, real-time tracking system for cost-effective but high-quality augmented reality effects. Using only a single video stream and no special markers, the system provides precise and stable camera tracking data. TrackMe processes standard and high definition footage at a speed of up to 60 frames per second.
TrackMe was designed and developed as part of Ralph Wiedemeier’s Master’s Thesis at the Computer Vision & Geometry Lab at ETH Zurich, in collaboration with tpc Zurich and Schweizer Fernsehen SRF.
The project was awarded with the ETH Medal for the best Master Thesis 2012.
